The Spot is where you eat the first night you roll onto the island: a sprawling multi-level compound across from the beach with burgers downstairs and a stack of bars (Tiki Bar, Squeeze, Side Yard) upstairs. Order the namesake burger, grab a frozen drink, and find a deck seat facing the Gulf.
What it costs: Burgers run $12–16, baskets a bit more. Frozen drinks are the real markup — budget accordingly.
When to go: Weekday afternoons are easy. Summer weekends the line stretches out the door by 6pm; go before 5:30 or after 8.
Who it’s for: Families, cruise crowds, anyone with sandy feet. Kids are fine downstairs; upstairs skews margarita.
When to skip: If you want quiet or table service. It’s counter-order, loud, and proudly so. And if it’s a cold gray day, the view is half the point — save it.
